Aquarius celebrating Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee 2022
Monday 6th June saw our club celebrating our beloved Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee (albeit slightly belatedly). š
We had a little competition and asked everyone to wear something coloured red, white and blue. Everyone rose to the challenge!
We had a really good mix of items, including our member Ben who wore a white t-shirt emblazoned with a bulldog in the colours of the 'Union Jack'. However, we had a very worthy and outstanding winner in Debbie, who not only wore red, white and blue clothing but also a union jack coloured bowler hat, floral garland and decorated fingernails. Debbie was so enthusiastic about the event, she even got her carer Danielle to wear a white, red and blue coloured wig - well done Danielle! Our runner-up was Dan, who wore an ensemble of swimwear comprising of a blue and white top and red and blue swim shorts.
Pictures attached of Debbie and Dan being presented with their prizes, a Buckingham Palace shaped box of union-jack coloured tissues. Our lifeguard Hannah also arranged some really good and lively music for the evening, and everyone had cake to take home. Thanks to Nicki Bowering of The Link @ Sandbach School for judging.
An excellent evening indeed.
