đMerry Christmas & A Happy New Year đ
âď¸A festive update from our management teamâď¸
As we approach the Christmas Season, our thoughts turn to gratitude and appreciation.
We as a club have witnessed a year of two halves, reminiscent in one regard to the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021. For the first half of the year, we had a very successful 6 months, increased numbers attending and some nice first-time events (eg wear something red for Valentine's Day and wear something red, white and blue for HM the late Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee, plus some music nights).
We then closed, having our last swim on Monday 20th June, while a new roof was fitted to the pool hall, along with other refurbishments. During this time, we have been able to come together as a smaller group for a few 'social hours' and a belated 50th Birthday Celebration (postponed from 2020). We also had 2 fund-raising events - a coffee morning at Elworth Methodist coffee lounge and a tombola at Sandbach Christmas Market.
Our Aquarius family and friends have continued to be part of us and supported us, and we all look forward to returning to swimming next month. It has been warming to continue to receive support and to know everyone is very keen to be back in the pool "as one group".
We send our thanks for all the help and support we receive and to everyone we also send our warmest wishes for a Happy and Joyful Christmas Season, followed by a Healthy and Successful 2023. See you all soon!
